Zavvi makes 178 more people redundant, closes 22 stores

Zavvi has made 178 people redundant, bringing the total to 247 after 69 people were made redundant from HQ last week.

We wish all the staff good luck in finding new opportunities.

I am reluctant to add Zavvi to the running total of games industry jobs lost in the GameOverZone, since so many of the staff of a business such as Zavvi have nothing to do with games. The compromise for now is to add these job losses to the GameOverZone, but exclude them from the running total.

Any suggestions on how best to treat these statistics are welcomed.
