GameJacket closes down

By on June 11, 2009

GameJacket, which provided advertising revenue for Flash-based games, has closed down.

While the company had received funding, it was unable to raise further investment. It seems as if GameJacket was offering $1,000 advances and $0.50 CPMs on flash games, which, if true, were very aggressive rates during an economic downturn. (It’s potentially the same problem, albeit at a different scale, as is besetting in-game advertising business IGA).
