nDreams announced today that it had had 5 million visits to Xi, the Alternate Reality Game that launched in March 2009, The game, which combined puzzles and mini-games in Home with websites, youtube videos and even billboards in London and seven other major cities, showed that Home was so much more than a place to showcase new PS3 games.

nDreams has also announced that its next Home space will be a Pirate Galleon. Aaarrr!

The key for Sony has been to show that Home is more than an advertising platform. Hopefully, Xi, Pirate Galleon and other developments are showing that Home is a viable 3D world in its own right.
