Interesting role at Moshi Monsters publisher Mind Candy

By on May 17, 2010

Mind Candy is recruiting.

They are looking for a “a highly talented and entrepreneurial Head of Mini Games” for Mind Candy.

Their LinkedIn ad says that they plan to “launch a standalone mini games site outside of www.moshimonsters.com.”

I believe that the casual portal model is deeply challenged (see my analysis of portals), so this is an interesting step for Mind Candy. They are trying to prove that they are more than a one-hit wonder (unlike Jagex, Frogster, Ankama and many other fre-to-play companies). By developing their own games (not relying on scalping other developers) and running a virtual goods model, they may have a chance.

If you’re interested, check out the ad on LinkedIn. Tell them that I sent you.

(Thanks to Adam Martin for the heads-up)
