More in the 50 Questions Series
50 Questions: What are the five killer things I could do to improve my chances of funding? | 50 questions: What can I do to control the timetable/reduce the time it takes to raise venture capital? | 50 questions: What is the first document I should put in front of a VC? |What is venture capital?
To kick off our series on 50 questions you should ask when you raise venture capital, Nic Brisbourne and I each wrote a post today.
Mine focused on “What is an investor”.
Nic is answering the question “What is venture capital”. He describes it as:
“money invested in high risk startups by venture capitalists on behalf of institutional investors with the aim of making outsize returns.”
Each of the items in italics merits further discussion. Head over to the Equity Kicker to find out more from Nic.
We’ll publish the full list of questions tomorrow.
